Mission & Philosophy

Dutch Fork High School is committed to the academic, social, mental, physical, and personal growth of our students.

• In academics, Dutch Fork scored 'Good' on the SC Annual Report Card and continues to implement instructional programs that successfully produce students who not only meet but exceed the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. We have a strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Program that was awarded AdvancED STEM Certification. During the 2022-23 school year, Dutch Fork produced 7 National Merit Finalists, 36 Palmetto Fellows, and 234 graduates who had GPAs of 3.0 or higher qualifying them for the Hope and Life Scholarships. DFHS seniors received over $43,000,000 in scholarship offers. In the 2022/23 year, 511 students took 1034 AP tests with a 79% pass rate. DFHS was ranked by US News and World Report and Niche among the nation's most academically rigorous and challenging high schools. Dutch Fork is a Professional Development School with the University of South Carolina, allowing for a close partnership of professional development with the university.
• Our Cheerleading teams were 2017 and 2018 5A State Champions. Our Baseball team won State in 2019. Our Football team won the 5A State Championship again this year for a total of 7 State Championships in the last 8 years. Dutch Fork’s sports program affords students numerous opportunities to participate in competitive sports with an emphasis on developing students’ athletic abilities while supporting academic excellence.
• Always reaching for distinction, our band, chorus, orchestra, drama, and dance students received superior ratings at all of their competitions, and the Dutch Fork JROTC Program was named a Top National Distinguished ROTC Unit. DFHS has 43 different sports teams and 56 different clubs for students to be involved.
